| Lead Structural Designer |
| Role Summary |
| The Lead Structural Designer is responsible for leading the structural design and drafting team in the development of offshore structural engineering deliverables for FEED, detailed engineering, and Offshore projects, Jackets , Decks Demo and Installations drawings, loadout and lashing drawings. The role ensures the preparation, coordination, and quality of 3D models, structural drawings, and fabrication drawings in compliance with project specifications, international codes, and client standards. The Lead Structural Designer works closely with Structural Engineers, Project Engineers, and Construction teams. |
| Key Responsibilities |
| • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of structural designers and CAD specialists. • Allocate work and monitor progress to ensure project schedules are achieved. • Review and approve structural design deliverables before client submission. • Ensure compliance with project quality procedures and company engineering standards. • Coordinate with engineering disciplines to resolve interface issues. • Develop and review offshore structural layouts and detailed design drawings. |
| Education & Qualifications |
| • Diploma or bachelor’s degree • 13+ years of structural design experience. • At least 5 years in a lead or supervisory role. • Extensive experience in offshore oil and gas projects. |
| Skills & Competencies |
| • Proficiency in CAD software • Strong understanding of engineering or structural principles and drafting standards. • Excellent attention to detail, spatial visualization, and technical accuracy. • Leadership and team coordination abilities. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Several years of experience as a draftsman, with proven leadership or supervisory experience. • Strong leadership and team management |
