Senior management
Jonathan Kennefick – Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan Kennefick has more than 30 years of international experience in the offshore energy and marine contracting industry, leading multi-billion-dollar projects and businesses across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the United States. He has held senior leadership roles spanning project delivery, operations, and QHSES, and has managed large multi-disciplinary teams across both upstream and downstream sectors.
Before joining Algihaz Marine Contractors, Jonathan held a senior position at Petrofac, where he focused on driving operational performance and strategic growth. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President at McDermott International, where he had global responsibility for project delivery and served on the company’s executive committee.
Jonathan holds a master’s degree in Subsea Engineering from Cranfield University, an MBA from the University of Houston, and a BSc in Physics from the University of London.
Douglas Korth - Chief Operating Officer

Douglas Korth is an offshore energy construction leader with over 30 years of experience overseeing complex offshore execution and building high-performing operational teams across multiple international markets, including the Middle East, the Caspian region, Brazil, West Africa and the United States.
Before joining Algihaz Marine Contractors, Douglas led advisory engagements through Telperion Management Consulting, focused on organisational and operational improvement. Prior to that, he served as Senior Director, Offshore Operations at NMDC Energy and held progressively senior leadership roles at McDermott and Subsea7, spanning project delivery, operations, commercial leadership and general management.
Douglas holds a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Rajiv Krishnan – KSA Projects Director

Rajiv Krishnan brings 25 years of experience in project management, operations, and execution, with a strong focus on offshore energy projects across the Middle East and Asia.
He has held senior leadership roles at McDermott and QatarEnergy, where he led diverse project teams, oversaw multi-location operations, and managed key stakeholder relationships. His track record includes delivering complex projects in technically demanding and logistically challenging environments.
Mr Krishnan holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Sumalya Bhattacharya – Commercial Director

Sumalya Bhattacharya brings over 22 years of experience in strategic business development and commercial management across the offshore and onshore energy and marine contracting sectors, with a focus on driving business growth and contract strategies in the Middle East and other international markets.
He has held senior commercial roles with leading energy contractors, including Saipem, where he was responsible for strategic business acquisition across the Middle East and global markets, negotiating complex contracts with IOCs and NOCs, and shaping competitive bid strategies. He has a strong track record of stakeholder engagement and delivering successful commercial outcomes.
Mr Bhattacharya holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, and a master’s degree in Business Management from Symbiosis International University, India.
Shashank Dubey – Finance Director

Shashank Dubey brings over 25 years of experience in financial management, tax compliance, and corporate governance across the oil and gas, construction and electronic media sectors. His focus areas include financial strategy, tax planning, risk control and performance reporting in both regional and international markets.
He has held senior leadership roles at Punj Lloyd, ANTV and Moby Group, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis, treasury, taxation, audit readiness and providing overall commercial decision support. Mr Dubey has a strong track record of driving financial discipline, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and strengthening governance frameworks.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Delhi and is a Chartered Accountant.
Jarrod Bolton - QHSE Director

Jarrod Bolton brings over 27 years of experience in health, safety and environmental leadership across offshore oil and gas, subsea construction, and major energy infrastructure projects, with extensive experience supporting complex offshore and onshore operations in the Middle East and international markets.
He previously held senior HSE leadership roles with organisations including Larsen & Toubro, McDermott International, and the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC). His experience includes leading HSE management for large offshore topsides, subsea and EPC projects, overseeing multi-location project teams, and delivering strong safety performance in high-risk operational environments.
Earlier in his career, Mr Bolton held project and site HSE roles with companies including GE Energy, GE Oil & Gas, Borealis Group and Koch-Glitsch, building a strong foundation in project HSE management, risk control, and contractor oversight across construction and energy sectors.
Mr Bolton holds a Diploma in Safety Management (HSE) from the British Safety Council and is an ISO Lead Auditor, Company Security Officer and DPA.
Mairead Mescall - HR Director

Mairead Mescall brings over 20 years of human resources leadership experience across the offshore energy and marine sectors, with a strong focus on organisational development, talent acquisition and leadership capability within international businesses.
She joined Algihaz Marine Contractors from her role as Global HR Director at Norvic Shipping International and has held senior HR leadership positions with organisations including Topaz Energy & Marine, Vela International Marine and TGP (Arena). In addition, she founded and led her own HR consultancy, supporting organisations with strategic HR advisory services, talent development and executive coaching.
Ms Mescall holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, a BA in Applied Languages (French, Spanish and German), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. She is CIPD-qualified and an ICF-certified executive coach.
Robert Gunnion – Contracts Director

Robert Gunnion brings almost 30 years of experience in contracts and commercial management across large-scale offshore energy, marine and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on EPC and transportation and installation scopes within international project environments.
He previously held senior contract and commercial leadership roles at McDermott, supporting complex offshore developments across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. His experience includes leading contractual and commercial activities from tender and early works through to project close-out, managing prime contracts, consortium and joint venture agreements, subcontracts, supplier contracts, and change and claims strategies on major offshore and subsea projects. Earlier in his career, Mr Gunnion held senior commercial and quantity surveying roles with organisations including Leighton Contractors and EC Harris, building a strong foundation in commercial strategy, procurement, cost control, and dispute resolution across construction and engineering projects.
Mr Gunnion holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University and is an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
